The first and only true Balinese winery, located in the heart of Sanur ...

The First and only truly Balinese winery, located in the heart of Sanur, has been at work since 1994 bringing to hotels' and restaurants' tables a taste of Bali in the most peculiar way. Our unique winery and its products are defying the traditional winemaking rules in using unconventional grapes, grown on the North coast of the siland. Our wines are natural wines, free of coloring and flavoring, made from local grapes and not their concentrated juice versions. We only bottle the best from Bali's vineyards.

The Balinese owned winery never ceases to amaze the wine world ...

The Balinese owned winery never ceases to amaze the wine world: making wine in the tropics, from table grapes and producing several vintages a year all to the delight of visitors who appreciate the wonders achieved by the first and only true winery in Bali. After seven years of winemaking in this peculiar way, the visionary Balinese owners along with the help of their French Winemaker, have literally redefined the rules of winemaking.

Using only the local black grapes, grown on the North coast of the island, the wines are produced in Sanur at the company's winery since 1994. Using traditional vinification process, achieving wines of high quality and enjoying great success in presenting world-class packaging, the winemakers are also defying the rules of what is a local Indonesian product. While gaining the respect of the wine industry with its uniqueness, Hatten Wines in now seen as a Balinese success story and a new symbol of excellence for local products.

Opening their new trendy wine shop and wine accessories "Dream-Land", The Cellardoor...

Opening their new trendy wine shop and wine accessories “dream-land”, The Cellardoor, the Balinese winery has done the impossible again: a Pineau des Charentes méthode from the Bali black table grapes. After the now famous medium-dry Rosé, a surprising méthode champenoise, Jepun, and a young red wine, AGA Red, Hatten Wines offers the French apéritif in Rosé and White versions and presents it in a sophisticated 375 ml bottle for a limited edition reserved for the wine shop only. Another lovely addition to the family is the delightful Alexandria, a sweet white fruity wine also in limited edition format due to the scarcity of the local white grapes and the absolute impossibility of having a ‘blanc-de-noir’ from the local Bali black grapes. The limited Editions can be found at The Cellardoor, which opened in April 2001, is conveniently located and proves to be a great shopping stop. Surely a wine accessories “dream-land”, but also a gift idea heaven, the wine shop presents locally produced or imported wine gadgets in a cellar- concept innovative décor. A luxurious pic-nic baskets or its family version, engraved crystal glasses, bottle openers for all tastes, wine-based jams and jellies as a great addition to your cocktail canapés or excellent souvenir, the wine shop provides a centralized spot for wine lovers solutions, luxuries and utilitarian items. The shop has a tasting bar where the wines can be tasted free of charge at all times.

One of the best new shopping spots of Bali, The Cellardoor continues to express the vision of the winery’s owning family: excellence, innovation and a touch of braveness and will that have pushed others to imitation.
