"Wijn maken op Bali: Met de hand gezoet en de flessen gerecycled"
Wijn
en Bali. Geen alledaagse combinatie. Het tropisch klimaat en
de oosterse hindoe-cultuur lenen zich niet bij uistek voor het
verbouwen van wijn. Toch durfde de Balische edelman I.B.
Rai Budarsa het zeven jaar geleden aan Hatten Wines op te
richten. Met success. Het eerste product, de rosé,
is inmiddels op het hele eiland verkrijgbaar. Rose en witte
wijn zijn zojuist geintroduceerd. Een reportage over een kleinschaliog
bedrijf, dat al bijna aan zijn honderdste vintage toe is. "Dat
kunnen de meeste westerse wijnbouwers ons niet nazeggen!"
